Robert E. Lee statue’s removal in Dallas blocked
DALLAS (KXAN) — When the Dallas City Council voted Wednesday to take down the statue of Robert E. Lee from Lee Park, city crews immediately started setting up equipment for the removal.
But a last-minute court order has blocked the planned removal, the Associated Press is reporting. U.S. District Judge Sidney Fitzwater granted the temporary restraining order by Hiram Patterson, a member of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans.
