Record rainfall today; winter storm setting up Thursday

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Widespread showers and some thunderstorms continue from Austin eastward this evening, but will wrap up before midnight tonight.
A Flash Flood Warning is in effect for Bastrop County through 10 p.m., and a Flood Watch continues for the potential of additional flooding from Austin eastward.
Austin-Bergstrom has broken its daily rainfall record of 1.61" (set in 1953) with 4.13" and counting. Camp Mabry has also broken its daily rainfall record of 1.19" (set in 1934) with 1.78"
