Public gets look at designs for Waller Creek parks district

AUSTIN (KXAN) — It’s a project that has spent years in the making, and early Saturday some Austinites got a closer look at plans for a Waller Creek Park downtown.
The Waller Creek Conservancy and city parks department hosted the first of two conversations at the Metz Recreation Center. They gave the public a look at plans and designs to build the new park, and also asked attendees to write their thoughts down — what they liked and what they didn’t
