Program aims to get children with disabilities used to flying

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A program at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport Saturday is aimed at getting children with intellectual and developmental disabilities more comfortable with flying.
The children and their families went through security screening, got boarding passes, found their gate and boarded an American Airlines jet as part of a program called Wings for All.
Saturday’s “rehearsal” was aimed at getting children comfortable before taking an actual trip.
