Police identify two pedestrians killed in separate weekend crashes

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Two men died over the weekend in south Austin and Buda after cars hit them in separate crashes.
The first happened Friday around 8:01 p.m. on the 800 block of W. Slaughter Lane, which is between Manchaca Road and South First Street. The Austin Police Department said a black Ford Fusion was driving eastbound in the center lane when it hit Sean Gayle, 30, who was crossing in the middle of the block. Gayle died at the scene and the driver stayed nearby.
