Person thought to have jumped from Loop 360 bridge found safe

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Rescue crews were searching for a person who was reported to have fallen or jumped from Pennybacker Bridge in west Austin.
Austin-Travis County EMS was called to the bridge, just south of the intersection of Loop 360/Capital of Texas Highway and Ranch to Market 2222, at 7:32 p.m.
In an update around 9 p.m., Austin fire officials said it was a mistaken alarm, and the person thought to have jumped was found safe, away from the bridge.
