Pedestrian killed in south Austin crash identified

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The pedestrian who was hit and killed after he fell trying to cross South First Street has been identified as Michael Joseph Howard, 54.
Howard was hit on the 600 block of West St. Elmo Road near South First Street just before 10 p.m. Sept. 18. A Chevrolet Tahoe was approaching the intersection, which had a green light, when Howard was hit.
