Passerby helps rescue couple from Manor house fire

MANOR, Texas (KXAN) — A woman in a wheelchair and her husband managed to escape a fire that ripped through their Manor home thanks to the help of a good Samaritan who drove by and saw the smoke.
The fire started around 2:14 p.m. Friday at a home in the 12800 block of New Katy Lane. The Austin Fire Department was called in to help the Manor Fire Department.
Alex and Christine, who live inside the home, said they were able to get out safely because of the passerby.
