One killed in crash on US 290 near Fredericksburg

FREDERICKSBURG, Texas (KXAN) — One person died and another person was taken to the hospital in a crash along US 290 near Fredericksburg.
The Texas Department of Public Safety says they were called to investigate the two-vehicle crash just after noon Tuesday. The crash happened approximately three miles east of Fredericksburg.
The Gillespie County Sheriff’s Office says all main lanes were blocked for several hours.
