Officers detonate pipe bomb found outside Georgetown home

GEORGETOWN, Texas (KXAN) — If you were in the area of Barcus Drive near Southwestern Boulevard in Georgetown Wednesday afternoon, you may have heard an explosion.
A source told KXAN on Thursday afternoon that a device officers worked to detonate was a pipe bomb that was left outside a home.When nearby neighbor Patrick Ernis saw several officers and what looked like a robot roaming around near his home, he didn't know what to think.
