Northbound Interstate 35 in New Braunfels shut down after fiery semi crash

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas (KXAN) — Northbound Interstate 35 in New Braunfels is expected to remain closed for most of Tuesday evening following a fiery crash involving an 18-wheeler hauling large bales of cotton.
Part of southbound I-35 was briefly closed as well, creating a major traffic jam for Central Texas drivers. The crash happened in the Rueckle Road to Solms Road area — just southwest of town — according to New Braunfels police.
