North MoPac express lane opens after a year of delays

AUSTIN (KXAN) — After years of waiting and sitting through the increasing traffic congestion, one portion of the MoPac Express Lane Project is now open to drivers.
Joining us in the KXAN studio is Mike Heiligenstein, the Executive Director with the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority.
The project is more than a year behind schedule, but the northbound toll lane from Ranch to Market 2222 to Parmer Lane is officially open.
