No more credit cards accepted at MetroRail

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Capital Metro is getting rid of debit and credit cards for MetroRail. It’s now cash only if you pay at the train vending machines.
Capital Metro says they would’ve had to spend nearly $5 million to upgrade their machines, to accept newer credit cards with the security chip.
“I feel like cash, depending on who you are, may not be the easiest thing to always have,” explains John Ming, who sometimes takes the train.
But not to worry, if you don’t
