New heatwave building as holiday weekend begins

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A few spotty showers to close out the work week, but focus turns to heat and humidity for the holiday weekend.A handful of isolated showers are possible this afternoon courtesy of a coastal low scooting east of the area. The forecast calls for a 10% chance of showers in the Hill Country (courtesy of naturally-induced lift via elevation changes) and the far eastern counties (due to proximity to the coastal low)... but likely leaving the Austin-metro sandwiched in between und
