‘Muny’ golf course vote expected Tuesday

AUSTIN (KXAN) — An historic Austin golf course that many have been campaigning for is getting its day in the sun Tuesday when lawmakers will vote to move its ownership to the state parks system.
The Lions Municipal Golf Course in west Austin was one of the first golf courses in a former Confederate state to be desegregated. It has been in the middle of controversy since 2011 when the University of Texas, who owns the land it sits on, announced it wanted to use that land for something
