Motorcyclist killed in major crash on SH 130 in Georgetown identified

GEORGETOWN, Texas (KXAN) — A motorcyclist is dead after being involved in what was described as a major crash on State Highway 130 in Georgetown.
The rider has been identified as 50-year-old Johnie Ray Franklin of Hewitt, Texas. An investigation and witness accounts revealed Franklin was riding at a high rate of speed southbound when he came up on traffic slowing due to a vehicle fire ahead.
