Mother’s ashes stolen from south Austin home

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A woman says the most precious thing in her life has been stolen.
On Wednesday, a thief took an urn containing the ashes of her mother.
“She was here in her own home where I thought she wanted to be, and someone would do this,” said Lauren Schultz. Her mother Mary Ann died seven years ago. Her ashes were tucked on the mantle of the family home on Barker Hollow Pass in the Shady Hollow neighborhood in south Austin.
