Man survives being buried in avalanche while snowshoeing in Colorado

DENVER (KDVR) — A man snowshoeing in Colorado's San Juan Mountains survived with only minor injuries after being partially buried by an avalanche on Sunday.According to the Colorado Avalanche Information Center (CAIC), a man and woman were snowshoeing north of Red Mountain Pass in Ouray County, about 100 miles south of Grand Junction.
