Man struck by train in San Marcos

SAN MARCOS, Texas (KXAN) – Union Pacific is investigating an incident where one of their trains hit a man, early Sunday morning.
A Union Pacific spokesperson said around 2 a.m., a southbound train struck Sedrick Smith, near Cheatham Street and Guadalupe, which is north of IH-35 in San Marcos.
Smith was transported to St. David’s South Austin Hospital with severe injuries.
There’s been no update on his condition at this point.
