Man hit, killed by car in South Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN)– One man is dead after being hit by a car on W. Slaughter Lane.
Austin Police say they are investigating the incident which happened around 8:00 p.m at the intersection of W. Slaughter Lane and Palace Parkway. Police say the victim, a 40-year-old man, was crossing the street when he was struck.
Emergency Medical services say when they arrived on scene the man was unconscious. They said they performed CPS but the man died at the scene.
