Man found shot in east Austin, asks bystander to call 911

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man approached someone in east Austin Thursday morning and asked them to call 911 because he had been shot.
Austin police came to the area where the man was in the 3100 block of Lynridge Drive around 5:32 a.m. Police do not yet know if that is the area where he was shot or when the shooting happened.
Austin-Travis County EMS says the man was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center. His injury is critical and potentially life threatening. Officers can confirm there was a s
