Man fatally hit in east Austin pedestrian crash identified

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man who law enforcement say was killed in a pedestrian crash in east Austin Saturday night has been identified as Carlos Villela, 55.
The crash happened just after 10:15 p.m. in the 1800 block of Ed Bluestein Blvd. northbound. The area is near Airport Blvd. Austin police said that the victim was in the roadway when he was hit by a Ford Raptor.
