Man dies in travel trailer fire in south Travis County

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A person died in a travel trailer that caught fire Friday afternoon in south Travis County.
The Manchaca Fire Department responded to the fire on Hickory Ridge Road around 12:30 p.m. When firefighters arrived, the mobile home was “fully involved,” says the Austin Fire Department, which is assisting.
A bystander tried to pull the man out of the trailer but he died at the scene. Austin-Travis County EMS says the person who died is a man in his 50s.
