Man dies in south Austin hit-and-run

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man in his 50s died after being hit by a vehicle Tuesday night on East William Cannon Drive. Police say the driver did not stay on scene.
Detectives with the Vehicular Homicide unit are investigating the crash which happened just west of Interstate 35 just after 9:00 p.m.
Paramedics with Austin-Travis County EMS took the man to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center with critical, life-threatening injuries. He later died at the hospital.
