Man dies in Highway 71 wrong-way crash

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man in his 30’s died Monday morning after a two-car crash on eastbound Highway 71.
Austin-Travis County EMS says the crash happened around 3:15 a.m. on the 4900 block of 71 near Navarro Creek Road, near the Nland Surf Park. A Nissan Maxima was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes when the driver collided with a Ford F-250. The Nissan driver died at the scene.
