Man allegedly high on K2 tries to set gas pumps on fire

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man who tried to set pumps at a southeast Austin gas station on fire might have been under the influence of K2, police say.
The Austin Fire Department said they were called out to the Shell gas station at 6301 East Riverside Drive around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday. The caller originally said the suspect was trying to start a fire but when crews arrived, there wasn’t a fire.
The suspect, identified as Christopher Kempf, 45, was arrested and charged with deadly conduct.
