Major ice storm to hit Central Texas tonight

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A significant ice storm is looking more likely across much of Central Texas beginning before dawn Thursday morning and continuing through the day. Even after freezing rain and sleet exit the area Thursday evening, an extended stretch of freezing temperatures may mean impassable roadways through the day Friday as well.Today will be our last day of mild temps, but with overcast skies and increasing showers and thunderstorms are likely late in the day.
