Lee County investigating officer shooting

DIME BOX, Texas (KXAN) -- Officials with the Lee County Sheriff's Department are investigating Wednesday morning after an officer was shot.
Few details are available, but a Lee County dispatcher told KXAN at 2:15 a.m. that officer was shot and a scene was still active in the town of Dime Box.
The Department of Public Safety told KXAN the county asked them for assistance earlier, but did not provide details of the assistance.
Dime Box is 20 miles northeast of Giddings.
