Lee County deputy shot; suspect killed

DIME BOX, Texas (KXAN) -- The Lee County Sheriff tells KXAN one of his deputies was shot and wounded during a shoot-out with a man in Dime Box last night.
The deputy was taken by air to Austin for treatment.
Deputies were serving a warrant on the man, Raul Vega Perez. Perez was shot and killed during the shootout.Texas Rangers are currently investigating the case.
Dime Box is 20 miles northeast of Giddings.
