Lawsuit claims Austin ISD covered up sexual assault cases

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The parents of a 4-year-old girl who say their daughter was sexually assaulted while at Boone Elementary School has filed a federal lawsuit against the Austin Independent School District, claiming the district and the district’s police department failed to “promptly and appropriately” investigate and respond to sexual assault accusations.
