Lake Travis house fire 'total loss,' with $2 million in damages

TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — A home near Lake Travis sustained more than $2 million's worth of damage and is classified as a "total loss" following a fire that broke out Saturday night. Volente Fire Department said the large house fire in the 8200 block of Lime Creek Road was out as of early Sunday morning. The homeowner, who was home alone at the time of the fire, escaped without injury.The house was fully engulfed when KXAN first spoke with fire officials over the phone around 9:45 p.m.
