Kushner kicks off Mideast peace push with first solo visit

JERUSALEM (AP) — President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and chief Middle East adviser, Jared Kushner, made his first solo visit Wednesday to the region, holding separate meetings with the Israeli and Palestinian leaders in an attempt to restart long-dormant peace talks.
There was no immediate word on the meetings, which are aimed at laying the groundwork for a resumption of negotiations for the first time in three years.
