Informant leads police to couple linked to recent K2 outbreak

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin police say a husband and wife team who own a moving company are responsible for supplying the bulk of the K2 drugs to the city.
A confidential informant led police to Charles Herd, 56, and his wife Juanita Price, 41. Police believe the couple was involved in the most recent outbreak of K2 in Austin that has led to numerous overdoses. Herd admitted to police they would drive to Houston to pick up the synthetic marijuana to bring back to Austin to sell.
