IKEA to open new store in San Marcos

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- IKEA announced Thursday it will open a new store this year as it works to expand in more cities across the U.S. However, this new location comes with a slight twist.The upcoming location will be a fraction of the size of its traditional outlets - covering an area of about 35,000 square feet at the Sanmar Plaza shopping center off State Highway 80.
