I-35 Construction near Lady Bird Lake begins soon

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A new phase of I-35 construction in downtown Austin is starting. The I-35 Capital Express Central project is already underway at Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, and today the Texas Department of Transportation announced it's starting the next phase by Lady Bird Lake.
Drivers will soon notice changes along I-35 from Holly Street to the intersection of I-35 and Hwy 71 down south, as TxDOT constructs two high-occupancy-vehicle lanes.
