Hurricane Julia makes landfall

NICARAGUA (KXAN) -- Hurricane Julia is onshore after making landfall near EARLY Sunday morning at Laguna de Perlas.The latest update from the National Hurricane Center shows the hurricane was located 100 miles west-northwest of Bluefields, Nicaragua moving west at 16 mph.
Hurricane Julia to weaken todayJulia will weaken to a tropical storm as wind speeds decrease as it moves to the west. The storm will turn to more of a west-northwest movement tomorrow. Thus, Julia will move over Nicaragua today
