Hurricane Irma downgrades to Category 3 strength, will turn toward Florida soon

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Hurricane Irma came down slightly to a 125 mph Category 3 hurricane early Saturday morning as the storm. This was just hours after making another landfall, this time in the Cuban Keys, as a Category 5 storm. It is the first Category 5 hurricane to hit Cuba since 1924.
