Hundreds gather at the Capitol for suicide awareness

Austin (KXAN) – Families, friends and activists gathered early Sunday morning at the Texas State Capitol to help bring awareness to suicide.
It happened on the south steps of the Capitol where more than 500 people attended.  An opening ceremony began at 9:30 a.m. with the playing of a trumpet and a reading of the names of individuals who committed suicide.
