Hotter than normal start to October

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The new month kicks off similar to how we finished the last - hot and dry.Afternoon highs will return to the upper 90s today - Austin's forecast high of 97° coming awfully close to the current daily record of 99° we set back in 2019.
