High court rejects Texas Democrats’ gerrymandering complaint

AUSTIN (AP) — The U.S. Supreme Court has dismissed an appeal from the Texas Democratic Party charging that the Republican-controlled Legislature illegally gerrymandered the state’s electoral maps.
