Heaviest rain since August, and rain continues through Friday

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Austin is in the midst of its heaviest one-day rainfall event since Aug. 22, when 3.73" fell. Parts of Austin have recorded over 2" of rain, and occasional rain and thunderstorms continue overnight and through the day Friday.
