Heat records to fall the next two afternoons
AUSTIN (KXAN) -- One of the weather numbers we are seeing today is a heat index lower than the air temperature. For example, at 1 p.m., the temperature at Llano was 104°. The dew point, the measure of moisture, was 46°. The resulting heat index at Llano was 100°.
Early afternoon dew points in the Hill Country were in the upper 40s to mid 50s.
