Hays County ends school zone safety program early

HAYS COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) – Hays County Commissioners say the increased public awareness about the need to obey school zone speed limits is the reason behind ending the county’s pilot program with American Traffic Solutions (ATS) early.
The school zone safety program began in 2015, and within the first three weeks more than 70 citations were issued to drivers speeding more than six miles over the speed limit in school zones. County commissioners state that within the first three week
