Hays County EMS looks to add more ambulances as call volume increases

KYLE, Texas (KXAN) — Hays County continues to grow and that means more calls for emergency services. This year, Hays County EMS has responded to around 1,200 more calls than what they were responding to last year.
“On a daily basis the trucks are busier and with the hospitals all being in Austin it takes them longer to get back and it takes the ambulances longer to be available for the next call,” said San Marcos Hays County EMS Administrative Battalion Chief Matt Wei
