AUSTIN (KXAN) – As election day gets closer, Travis County says voters are making sure they’re ready.
Friday afternoon it was noisy inside the Travis County Election call center. “We usually get hoarse after an election.” Yvette Laukaitis, the call center coordinator, laughed, “We are known by many as the call center with a heart.”
The call center is set up for voters. This election, the County Clerk’s Office has had to double the staff. Close to 40
