Harvey reaches Category 1 hurricane status

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Harvey is a Category 1 hurricane as of noon, with sustained winds of 80 miles per hour.
It’s forecast to be a Category 3 hurricane when it makes landfall north of Corpus Christ, Texas, sometime Friday morning.
