Georgetown offering free holiday string-light recycling

GEORGETOWN, Texas (KXAN) — It never fails when you take down the box of holiday lights, there will be a strand that won’t light up.
In an effort to make sure you just don’t throw those lights into the garbage can, the city of Georgetown is partnering with Texas Disposal System to offer free holiday string-light recycling to all Georgetown residents. Yard art, inflatables and other holiday lighting will not be collected.
