Franklin Barbecue reopens Tuesday after fire destroys smokehouse

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The long lines that have helped make Franklin Barbecue famous were back out in front of the restaurant Tuesday as Aaron Franklin reopened the business for the first time since a fire.
It’s been about three months since a fire destroyed its smokehouse. In August, wind blew an ember from the fire pit to the back of the building.The fire burned for about half an hour, leading to what officials estimated to be $350,000 in damage. Owner Aaron Franklin told KXAN t
