Flu outbreak forces North Texas school district to close for two days

SUNNYVALE, Texas (KXAN) — A small school district just east of Dallas has shut down classes Tuesday and Wednesday in an effort to stop the spread of the flu.
The Sunnyvale Independent School District says the flu kept 85 students home from its elementary school Monday. The district, which has approximately 1,800 students, tells KXAS this is the first flu-related closure in the district in the last decade.
