Flash Flood Warning in effect for Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- A slowly-advancing cold front combined with an upper-level storm and copious amounts of moisture are combining to produce numerous heavy thunderstorms across the area Monday evening. Storms are capable of producing 2-3" of rain per hour, and may trigger dangerous flash flooding, especially in urban areas where runoff comes more easily.A Flash Flood Warning is in effect for the Austin area until 7:15 p.m. Never, ever drive through a water-covered road.
